"This is the emblematic expression of Alexandre Bonnet's terroir, delicate and fruity."
"Small oxidative notes evoke almonds and the forest floor after rain in an elegant nose. This evolution is reflected in a beautifully textured palate, underscored by toasted notes and accompanied by hints of gingerbread and rapadura. Noble bitter notes lead to a lively finish. A champagne with a moving balance, without any heaviness." (Gault & Millau 2024).

Bettane & Desseauve
Wine rated 90/100
3-star rating (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)
About wine:
Freshness, liveliness, and good volume in a vinous ensemble for a champagne that is decidedly suited for the table.
About the estate:
This Riceys-based winery has completely overhauled its operations, presenting itself as an estate with numerous single-vineyard wines inspired by the Burgundy model. It specializes in black grapes (although it also produces a respectable cuvée of Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay, Harmonie-de-Blancs) and in particular a delicious rosé de saignée, i.e. made from the initial stages of red wine production and not, as is more often the case in Champagne, from a blend of red and white grapes. The champagnes have gradually gained depth of flavor and finesse of texture.

About the estate:
The village lies at the end of the Laignes valley, on the border between Champagne and Burgundy. It is a land of hillsides that man has patiently shaped for vineyards over centuries. Its history and name are many, its reputation singular: Les Riceys. On the steepest slopes of Champagne, the Kimmeridgian limestone gives the Pinot Noir grapes of Les Riceys the unique expression that has made the reputation of its three appellations: Champagne, Coteaux-Champenois, and Rosé-des-Riceys. The Alexandre Bonnet estate produces some of the most sought-after wines of the Côte des Bar.

About wine:
Delicate aromas of dried meadow flowers and warm, sweet hay. The chalky texture gives the wine a firm, fine concentration. Loose, lacy bubbles. These beautiful aromas are very persistent on the palate, adding a graceful lift and a savory veil to the ripe yellow fruit.
James Suckling
Wine rated (2024 guide) 92/100
About wine:
A textured, balanced, and energetic Pinot Noir champagne. Well-crafted and concentrated with precision and style. It offers aromas of cooked pears, sweet spices, and raw almonds. It is flavorful, with fine bubbles and a vertical dimension. Vibrant and agile. Disgorged in 2023.
