"A fresh, fine and distinguished Pinot Noir. A must for connoisseurs!"

Let yourself be surprised by this lively red Coteaux Champenois, with delicate aromas of burlat cherry and red berries. A fresh nose with great finesse, followed by a loose, long and structured palate. A moment of pleasure, in the pure tradition of Les Riceys still wines.

3*Star rating (High-quality production, a benchmark in its sector)

About the domain :

This Riceys winery has completely overhauled its operation, proposing an estate-style image, with numerous parcel-based cuvées inspired by a Burgundian model. It specializes in black grapes (although it does make a respectable cuvée of pinot blanc and chardonnay, harmonie-de-blancs), and in particular a delicious rosé de saignée, i.e., made from an early stage of vinification in red and not, as is more often the case in Champagne, from a blend of red and white. Champagnes have progressively gained in depth of flavor and finesse of texture.

About the domain :

The village lies at the end of the Laignes valley, on the borders of Champagne and Burgundy. It's a land of hillsides that, for centuries, men have patiently shaped for the vine. Its history and name are plural, and its reputation singular: Les Riceys. On the steepest slopes in Champagne, the Kimmeridgian limestone gives Les Riceys pinot noirs the unique expression that has made the reputation of its three appellations: champagne, coteaux-champenois and rosé-des-riceys. The Alexandre Bonnet estate produces some of the most sought-after wines on the Côte des Bar.

About the wine:

Pale red. Cranberry tart and whip-thin, but with a core of sweetness. Very delicate tannins - ephemeral, even. The structure comes more from the tension of the fruit and the well-anchored acidity.
