“Structured finesse and assertive balance!”

“This ‘œil-de-perdrix’ champagne has a very slight salmon hue imparted by the skins of the red grapes: in this case, Pinot Noir (75%) blended with Chardonnay, made from grapes harvested in 2021 and 2020 from Grand Cru vineyards in the Montagne de Reims. This color charmed our tasters, and even more so did the smooth fruitiness of the nose, a blend of apricot, candied peach, red berries, pink Reims biscuit, and honey, as well as the pleasant roundness of a palate in harmony with the nose, refined by a lovely acidity that provides a long finish. A superb champagne that could even pair with red meats, such as a rack of lamb." (Le Guide Hachette 2026).

About the wine:

This “œil-de-perdrix” champagne has a very slight salmon hue imparted by the skins of the red grapes: in this case, Pinot Noir (75%) blended with Chardonnay, made from grapes harvested in 2021 and 2020 from Grand Cru vineyards in the Montagne de Reims. This color charmed our tasters, and even more so did the smooth fruitiness of the nose—a blend of apricot, candied peach, red berries, pink Reims biscuit, and honey—as well as the pleasant roundness on the palate, which echoes the nose, refined by a lovely acidity that provides a long finish. A superb champagne that could even pair with red meats, such as a rack of lamb.

About the estate:

The estate was founded in 1923 and is now a wine merchant run since 2000 by Vincent Dauvergne, the founders’ great-grandson. The company is based in Bouzy, a renowned Grand Cru in the Montagne de Reims, and owns 7.5 hectares of vineyards. The brand was launched in 2011
