"Structured finesse and assertive balance!"

“This ‘œil-de-perdrix’ champagne has a very slight salmon hue imparted by the skins of the red grapes: in this case, Pinot Noir (75%) blended with Chardonnay, made from grapes harvested in 2021 and 2020 from Grand Cru vineyards in the Montagne de Reims. This color charmed our tasters, and even more so did the smooth fruitiness on the nose—a blend of apricot, candied peach, red berries, pink Reims biscuit, and honey—as well as the pleasant roundness on the palate, which harmonizes with the nose and is refined by a lovely acidity that lends the wine a long finish. A superb champagne that could even pair with red meats, such as a rack of lamb.” (Le Guide Hachette 2026).

About the wine:

This “œil-de-perdrix” champagne has a very slight salmon hue imparted by the skins of the red grapes: in this case, Pinot Noir (75%) blended with Chardonnay, made from grapes harvested in 2021 and 2020 from Grand Cru vineyards in the Montagne de Reims. This color charmed our tasters, as did—even more so—the smooth fruitiness on the nose, a blend of apricot, candied peach, red berries, pink Reims biscuit, and honey, as well as the pleasant roundness on the palate that echoes the nose, refined by a lovely acidity that lends the wine a long finish. A superb champagne that could even pair with red meats, such as a rack of lamb.

About the estate:

The estate was founded in 1923 and is now a wine merchant operated since 2000 by Vincent Dauvergne, the great-grandson of the founders. The company is based in Bouzy, a famous Grand Cru in the Montagne de Reims, and owns 7.5 hectares of vineyards. The brand was launched in 2011
