About the estate:

This Mareuil-sur-Aÿ-based house, which is over two centuries old and still family-owned, gained an international reputation in the 1990s thanks to its light and refined champagnes, particularly its rosé, its signature wine. The grapes come primarily from the Épernay region and the Marne Valley, notably from the grands crus. The house owns very few vineyards of its own (about a dozen hectares), but relies on high-quality supply contracts. The entire range is refined, prioritizing harmony over power, with many subtle nuances evident in each of its numerous cuvées. Today, Billecart ranks among the greats of Champagne.

Based on the 2015 vintage and disgorged with a dosage of 9 grams per liter, the latest release of the Brut Réserve consists entirely of 55% reserve wines and shows great promise, offering complex aromas of warm bread, crisp green fruit, and citrus oil. On the palate, it is medium-bodied to full-bodied and charming yet lively, with an elegant attack, a fleshy core of fruit, and lively, balancing acidity.
