"Expertise"

"Based on the 2015 vintage and disgorged with a dosage of 9 grams per liter, the latest release of Brut Réserve consists entirely of 55% reserve wines and presents itself beautifully, offering complex aromas of warm bread, crisp green fruit, and citrus oil. On the palate, it is medium-bodied to full-bodied and charming yet lively, with an elegant attack, a fleshy core of fruit, and lively, balancing acidity.” (Wine Advocate - William Kelley)

Wine rated 15/20 (Very good wine)

Rated estate (2020 guide) 5*Stars (Exceptional producers, those who represent the absolute pinnacle of quality in France and around the world)

About the wine:

This lovely, light, and elegant brut captures all of Billecart’s finesse, with delicate notes of citrus and red berries and a perfectly balanced dosage.

About the estate:

This Mareuil-sur-Aÿ-based house, which has been in the same family for over two centuries, gained an international reputation in the 1990s thanks to its light and refined champagnes, particularly its rosé, its signature wine. The grapes come primarily from the Épernay region and the Marne Valley, notably from grand cru vineyards. The house owns very few vineyards of its own (about a dozen hectares), but relies on high-quality supply contracts. The entire range is refined, prioritizing harmony over power, with many nuances evident in each of its numerous cuvées. Today, Billecart ranks among the greats of Champagne.
