Champagne Billecart-Salmon

Billecart-Salmon is a Champagne House founded in 1818 by Nicolas-François Billecart and his wife Elisabeth Salmon. Today, the House in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ is run by the seventh generation of the family, who are brilliantly continuing the traditions that have made it one of the great Champagne Houses. Regularly cited for the quality of its vintages, the Billecart-Salmon House cultivates 30 hectares of vineyards in Champagne and supplements its supply with grapes harvested within a 20-kilometer radius of Epernay, where the greatest vintages coexist. The wines are vinified entirely or partly in Burgundy grand cru barrels, and the bottles of Champagne are aged at 12°C in a network of chalk cellars dating from the 17th and 19th centuries.
