Champagne Billecart-Salmon

Billecart-Salmon is a Champagne House founded in 1818 by Nicolas-François Billecart and his wife Elisabeth Salmon. Today, the House in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ is led by the seventh generation of the family, who brilliantly carry on the traditions that have made it one of the great Champagne Houses. Regularly praised for the quality of its cuvées, the Billecart-Salmon House cultivates 30 hectares of vineyards in Champagne and supplements its supply with grapes harvested within a 20-kilometer radius of Épernay, where the finest Grand Crus are found. Vinification takes place entirely or partially in barrels from Burgundy’s grand cru vineyards, and the bottles of Champagne are aged at 12°C in a network of cellars carved directly into the chalk, dating from the 17th and 19th centuries.
