Wine rated (2016 guide) 16/20 (Very good wine)
Domaine rated (guide 2022) 3*Stars (High-quality production that can serve as a benchmark in its sector)
About the domain :
Located in Cramant, a benchmark terroir for great Chardonnays, this 22-hectare family estate is now in the hands of Jean-Étienne and Jean-Emmanuel Bonnaire. These champagnes are ideal for aperitifs, and are a sure bet in the sector. The siblings also manage Champagnes Paul Clouet, a cousin of the family vineyard since 1992. Some cuvées are aged in wood, and older vintages can be disgorged on request. This is a sure-fire address that is progressing and refining its style.

About the domain :
Like many a Champagne winegrower, the great-grandfather of today's winegrowers became independent of the negociants in the wake of the 1929 crisis, and began handling his own wines in 1932. Today, the estate covers 25 hectares, mainly in the Côte des Blancs. Since 2012, it has been run by Jean-Emmanuel and Jean-Étienne Bonnaire, sons of Jean-Louis, who passed away in 2015.
