3*Étoile
Hachette
"A cuvée vinified in large oak casks using indigenous yeasts, made from the 'cœurs de cuvée'—that is, the finest pressings from the 2012 harvest. A perfectly executed recipe that has produced a golden color with green highlights, an expressive, refined, and complex nose—just beginning to develop—featuring white and yellow fruits, pastries, acacia honey, and roasted notes, with a taut and lively palate from the attack through the long finish. A superb champagne for the table. " (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2018). A remarkable Blanc de Blancs from the beautiful and prestigious Grand Cru terroirs of the communes of Oger and Mesnil-sur-Oger!

About the wine:
A cuvée vinified in large oak casks using indigenous yeasts, made from the "cœurs de cuvée"—that is, the finest pressings from the 2012 harvest. A perfectly executed blend that has produced a golden color with green highlights, an expressive, refined, and complex nose—just beginning to develop—featuring white and yellow fruits, pastries, acacia honey, and roasted notes, with a taut and lively palate from the attack through the long finish. A superb champagne for the dinner table.
About the estate:
In 1996, Caroline and Olivier joined their surnames—Picard and Collard—both in marriage and in their winery. Today, they own a 16-hectare estate in the Marne Valley and the Côte des Blancs—featuring organically farmed Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards—and, since 2013, a prestigious location in Épernay.

Nice Chardonnay aroma, a bit soft on the palate (=10 g/L), easy to drink, but lacking a bit of zing! Balanced and pleasant.
