Champagne Maurice Delabaye et Fils - Rosé de Saignée Premier Cru Brut
3*Coup de Coeur
Hachette
"A delicious, fruity, and tangy wine!"
“It has the color and aromas of cherries—the fleshy fruit, the pit, followed by a cascade of small red berries: it has a ‘Pinot-like’ character.” The palate is in perfect harmony, impressing with its power, complexity, and length. The secret to this rosé? Our tasters have partly revealed it: “A saignée rosé, I’d bet.” It’s made by macerating red grapes. In this case, Pinot Noir (60%) and Meunier, sourced from old vineyards in Cumières. Left in the tank for three days, they contribute to the harmony of this champagne, which one juror could easily imagine pairing with duck breast with cherries.” (Le Guide Hachette des Vins).
