Champagne Maurice Delabaye et Fils - Rosé de Saignée Premier Cru Brut
3*Coup de Coeur
Hachette
“A delicious, fruity, and tangy wine!”
“It has the color and aromas of cherries—the fleshy fruit, the pit, followed by a cascade of small red berries: it has a ‘Pinot’ character.” The palate is in perfect harmony, standing out for its power, complexity, and length. The secret of this rosé? Our tasters have partly revealed it: “a saignée rosé, I’d bet.” It is made by macerating black grapes. Here, Pinot Noir (60%) and Meunier, sourced from old vineyards in Cumières. Left in vats for 3 days, they contribute to the harmony of this champagne, which one juror could easily see paired with duck breast with cherries.” (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2025).
