"A delicious, fruity, and tangy wine!"

"It has the color and aromas of cherries—the fleshy fruit, the pit, followed by a cascade of small red berries: it has a 'Pinot' character. The palate is in perfect harmony, standing out for its power, complexity, and length. The secret of this rosé? Our tasters have partly revealed it: “a saignée rosé, I’d bet.” It is made by macerating black grapes. Here, Pinot Noir (60%) and Meunier, sourced from old vineyards in Cumières. Left in vats for 3 days, they contribute to the harmony of this champagne, which one juror could easily see paired with duck breast with cherries.” (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2025).

About the wine:

It has the color and aromas of cherries—the fleshy fruit, the pit, followed by a cascade of small red berries: it has a distinct "Pinot" character. The palate is in perfect harmony, standing out for its power, complexity, and length. The secret of this rosé? Our tasters have partially revealed it: “a saignée rosé, I’d bet.” It is made through the maceration of black grapes. Here, Pinot Noir (60%) and Meunier, sourced from old vineyards in Cumières. Left in the tank for 3 days, they contribute to the harmony of this champagne, which one juror could easily see paired with duck breast with cherries.

About the estate:

A family-run winery established in 1921 in Cumières. Maurice Delabaye became a grower-producer and launched his brand in 1959. Germain, who succeeded him in 2001, moved the estate’s headquarters to Damery. The estate spans nearly 11 hectares, spread across 10 municipalities (including Aÿ, Cumières, Hautvillers, and Dizy). He is supported by his sons Victor (since 2014) and Yann (since 2022).

A superb bottle. It’s technically very well crafted. But a word of warning to enthusiasts: this is by no means a “light rosé champagne for aperitifs”—it’s concentrated and full of character! I can easily picture this bottle paired with exotic dishes or a duck-based recipe...

Very surprising and unique—it’s not what you’d usually expect from a rosé champagne, but it’s definitely worth trying
