“A crisp and elegant champagne with beautiful minerality that lives up to all its promises”

“This non-dosage Blanc de Blancs displays fine consistency; for this release, it is crafted from the 2020 harvest, vinified in tanks and blended with reserve wines from 2019 that were aged for 12 months in barrels. Discreet and highly mineral on the nose, with chalky and briny notes, the champagne is lively without being sharp, clean, and elegant. A straightforward and elegant champagne that pairs beautifully with seafood.” (Le Guide Hachette 2025).

Guide Hachette des vins

Rated estate (2025 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer’s wines regularly receive awards from the guide)

About the wine:

This non-dosé Blanc de Blancs displays excellent consistency; this particular vintage is based on the 2020 harvest, vinified in tanks and blended with reserve wines from 2019 that were aged for 12 months in barrels. Discreet and highly mineral on the nose, with chalky and briny notes, the champagne is lively without being sharp, clean, and elegant. A straightforward and elegant champagne that pairs beautifully with seafood.

About the estate:

In 2000, Ludovic and Sandie Durdon took over the family estate in the Marne Valley, continuing a tradition spanning three generations. Managing 7.5 hectares, they began the transition to organic farming for 3 hectares of vineyards; certification was obtained in 2013 for the Chardonnay and in 2015 for the Pinots, with biodynamic certification following in 2023. Since 2021, a press and a new winery have enabled the estate to handle the entire winemaking process on-site, a task previously entrusted to the local cooperative.

About the estate:

The family-owned estate has just welcomed its fifth generation of winemakers, with Antoine, the owners’ son, in attendance. With vineyards located in Vincelles and Barzy, in the heart of the Marne Valley, the estate owns just over 6 hectares. The estate practices certified organic farming for its Chardonnay, and is currently in the process of obtaining certification for its two Pinot varieties. The wines are aged partly in barrels and vats, then left to mature in the cellar for many years. This estate offers excellent quality across its entire range and also welcomes you to its guesthouse to discover its wines and vineyards. Of note is the arrival of a single-vineyard cuvée, “Les Sablons.”

Always on the lookout for exceptional champagne, I was pleasantly surprised by this natural blanc de blancs. It really lets you appreciate the elegance of Chardonnay. It’s very enjoyable as an aperitif. It’s not lacking in sweetness. For a blanc de blancs without added sugar, it’s also very affordable.

Rich in aroma, with well-balanced acidity despite the absence of added sugar. An "extra-brut" that is accessible even to beginners.
