" The Chardonnay, sourced mainly from the Côte des Blancs, gives this Champagne a typically mineral and taut character. A bottle that will improve with further aging." (Wine Enthusiast 2022) With great precision and finesse, these fine bubbles express themselves with liveliness on the palate, which is silky smooth with a delicately spicy and salty finish.

Rated estate (2023 guide) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, in line with what one would expect from its appellation(s))

About the estate:

Tsarine is the brand developed by Chanoine Frères, part of the BCC group. It has grown alongside the world of cinema. The wines produced by Isabelle Tellier, the cellar master, focus primarily on the balance of the three Champagne grape varieties, with a tender youthfulness but also a slender, fruity and floral aesthetic. We note a certain progression in the vintages we tasted this year.

Rated estate (2023 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)

About the estate:

In 1730, the Chanoine brothers began digging their cellar in Épernay. Their house, the oldest after Ruinart, fell into decline after the war, before being revived thanks to its integration into the group now known as Lanson-BCC (1991), which provided it with a vast, modern, above-ground cellar in Reims. It created the Tsarine brand in memory of Catherine II, a great lover of champagne. Isabelle Tellier has been at the helm of the cellar since 2001.
