Rating: Robert Parker 91/100
“The 2008 vintage of Pieza el Caldero is composed of 96% Aragon and 4% Grenache, from vines over 70 years old. It was aged for 12 months in American oak barrels before being bottled unfiltered. Slightly less exuberant than the Pieza el Coll (but also a bit more complex), it offers greater density and structure, with ripe, succulent fruit. It is likely to evolve over the next 1 to 2 years and will be a delight to drink through 2018.” (Wine Advocate - Robert Parker)
