Bodegas Familia Navascues

Founded in 2002, the family-run Bodegas Familia Navascués project is led by Jorge and Jesús Navascués, winemakers and oenologists from a family that has been producing wine in the region for more than three generations. Their mission is to restore the Cariñena region to its former glory by highlighting the finesse and purity of the terroir through high-quality wines. This passion-driven project focuses on native grape varieties and the authentic expression of the terroir.

The vineyards of Bodegas Familia Navascués, located in Almonacid de la Sierra (in the heart of Aragon), are part of the DO Cariñena. The family cultivates these lands with the utmost respect for the environment and sustainability. Over the years, they have expanded their estate with 50- to 70-year-old Grenache, Carignan, and Macabeu vines, making it a point of honor to express the grape varieties and their origins purely and directly.

The Almonacid de la Sierra region is now synonymous with the finest Aragonese wines, whose character is influenced by the “Cierzo,” a fierce Spanish wind feared by many winemakers but considered essential byBodegas Familia Navascués. Local conditions—including the Cierzo storm, the clay-limestone and loamy soils, and the steep slopes—give the wines their distinctive mineral aroma.
