"A succulent value for money produced by the renowned Jorge Navascues, a 92 for James Suckling and a 91 for the Wine Advocate!"

"It's legible and fruity, with a floral note and less ripeness than previous vintages despite the year's natural conditions (it feels like a fresh vintage!). Juicy, primary and fresh, with clarity and balance. A bargain." (Wine Advocate 2023)

Robert Parker - Wine Advocate

Wine rated ( 2023 guide) 91/100 (Great wine)

About the wine:

The Bodegas' youngest red is 2022 La Vadina, the result of a very hot, dry summer, during which they managed to keep the wine fresh - it has a pH of 3.3. The wine is moderately ripe and alcoholic (13.8%, almost 1% less than the previous year); the harvest was based on acidity rather than ripeness, and it was necessary to sort and select because, in the same bunch, there were both green and overripe grapes. So this was a year that demanded precision and hard work. This pure, unoaked Garnacha is made from 100% purchased grapes from different soils, ages and altitudes, all located in the village of Almonacid de la Sierra; the grapes were harvested earlier and underwent stainless steel destemmed fermentation with indigenous yeasts, before being aged in concrete for five months. It's primary and fruity, with a floral note and less ripeness than previous vintages despite the year's natural conditions (it feels like a fresh vintage!). Juicy, primary and fresh, with clarity and balance. A bargain. 20,000 bottles produced. Bottled in March 2023. 2023-2027

About the wine:

A juicy Grenache, full of morello cherries, berries, tile and a touch of spice and hibiscus on the nose. Crisp and fruity on the palate, with pleasantly chewy tannins from the fruit and a succulent, fruity finish. Drink now.

Discreet tannins, a slender body and concentrated fruit flavors of crunchy redcurrants, raspberries and spicy wild blackberries, underlined by a chalky streak, make up this surprisingly fresh thirst-quenching wine, despite its alcohol content approaching 14°. Long, sapid finish, full of vitality. Great drinkability. Attractively priced. All of these characteristics will delight fans of smooth, ultra-fruity wines to put on the table as soon as spring arrives! In a convivial atmosphere, they'll enhance an Andalusian paella or a porcini risotto with its Pinot noir character. Score = 4.

Middeldiepe kersenrode kleur. Uitstekende PQR. Score: 16/20

Lovely nose of fresh red fruit with a nice freshness. The palate is simple and easy-drinking, but this is a good discovery of the Grenache grape variety with a very interesting q/p ratio.
