Bodegas Viña Magaña

Bodega Vina Magana is an iconic winery in Navarre, founded in 1961 and located at the southern tip of the region, which has played a key role in the history of the DO Navarre. The Magana brothers revolutionized this appellation by taking a chance on introducing French grape varieties—which were not authorized at the time—and by cultivating old Merlot vines, among the oldest in Spain, alongside Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon. The extreme care taken in the cultivation and winemaking of Bodega Vina Magana’s wines, thanks to the family’s expertise, has propelled the bodega’s DO Navarra wines onto the international stage and, in turn, fostered a strong appreciation for the entire appellation beyond Spain’s borders.
