“The Barón de Magaña 2018 is a red blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah from their oldest vines, crafted to create a fresher wine that expresses the limestone soils of their vineyards. [...] It has a brilliant ruby color and an expressive nose of berries and herbs, very spicy, with a medium-bodied palate and refined tannins.” (Wine Advocate 2021)

About the wine:
The Barón de Magaña 2018 is a red blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah from their oldest vines, crafted to create a fresher wine that expresses the limestone soils of their vineyards. It was fermented with native yeasts and underwent a short maceration at a maximum temperature of 28 °C. It was aged in French oak barrels that had previously held two other wines for 12 months. It has a bright ruby color and an expressive nose of berries and herbs, with pronounced spice, and a medium-bodied palate with refined tannins.
