"A Gem among Tim Atkin's Top 100 this year, and recognized as one of the best wines in the appellation!"

Representative of the freshness of the mountainous town of Lerga, this Garnacha 2023 comes from six small plots that reflect the freshness and elegance of the region. The wine is fermented in concrete with indigenous yeasts, then aged for nine months in a combination of concrete and 500-liter French oak barrels. It has a certain tamed wildness with lovely aromas of strawberry and mint. It offers a chalky texture and depth, making it a wine that is both full-bodied and balanced. 2024-2030" (Tim Atkin 2025)

Wine rating (2024 guide) 94/100 (Outstanding wine)

Rated Recommended (Wine producer recommended by Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate)

About wine:

Golerga 2023 is a pure Grenache from the village of Lerga, located in another region of Navarre, at a higher altitude, with a different latitude and twice as much rainfall. It is produced from grapes that were previously used to make rosé wine or blended with grapes from other regions. The vines are located at an altitude of around 600 meters and the grapes ripened completely, reaching 14.1% alcohol, while maintaining very good freshness (pH 3.26) and good acidity (5.8 grams). It fermented in concrete and stainless steel and matured in 500-liter French oak barrels and concrete. It has a very expressive nose, with complexity, layers, and depth, a balanced and very flavorful palate with fine tannins and a superb mouthfeel and long finish. This is a wine of purity and intensity. It is magnificent, a step above the already impressive 2021. 2024-2030

About wine:

Golerga 2023 is a Garnacha from Lerga, Navarre. Floral and expressive, with notes of rose, palo rosa, wild herbs, and a touch of blood orange, it is light and taut on the palate, offering a beautiful grip and chalky texture beneath the delicate fruity aromas. Intensely aromatic and vibrant, with an infusion-like sensation that retains its presence and character, this is a modern Grenache defined by its floral bouquet, subtle bloodiness, and reductive energy. 2025-2040
