Rating: Robert Parker 93/100, Stephen Tanzer 93/100
“The Finca Sobreño Reserva - Selección Especial 2009 is a blend of the estate’s finest vines (over 50 years old) and is aged for 14 months, half in new American oak barrels and the rest in used oak barrels. It offers a floral bouquet of black fruit, heather, and dried violet, well-defined and alluring. The palate is medium-bodied with a succulent attack of black cherry and balsamic notes, along with a hint of orange zest and clove. It possesses good structure and lovely concentration, with freshness on the finish. It is very refined and elegant for a Toro red. Drink now through 2019 and beyond.” (Wine Advocate Apr. 2013 - Robert Parker)
