"The 2014 Campo Arriba comes from one of the highest-altitude vineyards in Yecla. It is a blend of Mourvèdre, Syrah, and Grenache, aged for three months in French oak barrels. Founded in 1925 by the Candela family, this winery has truly reached new heights with this excellent value-for-money wine. Blackberries, blueberries, acacia flowers, and chalky minerality dominate the bouquet. A full-bodied wine at a ridiculously low price for this quality; we assume it will age for 5–6 years, though its true value lies in its exuberance, purity of fruit, and density.” (Wine Advocate 2015 – Robert Parker)

A high-quality wine. Aromas of dark fruit with a finish featuring notes of vanilla. Be sure to decant it a good two hours in advance to avoid being overwhelmed by its intensity. Still has aging potential.

Wood, vanilla, caramel, and Tagada strawberry. A caricature of Spanish wine. What a joke.

Let it develop its character and breathe a bit before serving. A good wine.

A good wine, but it needs time to age...

A harsh, unpleasant wine. Parker's rating is completely off the mark.

This heavy, powerful wine is a disappointment; the alcohol goes straight to your head. It lacks finesse. It’s surprising that it received such a high Parker score.

A lovely ruby red color Aromas of morello cherries and ripe fruit—reminded me of its Italian cousin, Amarone— A Spanish wine from the Yecla region made from Monastrell, Syrah, and Tintorera grapes Still a bit tannic on the palate, it’s quite good now and will be even better in a couple of years Well-balanced, with a smooth finish Good value for the price
