Senorio de Barahonda Winery
The Bodega Senorio de Barahonda was founded in 1925 by Pedro Candela; it is a family-owned winery now run by the two brothers, Antonio and Alfredo Candela. Within the DO Yecla, the winery has always distinguished itself through the elegance of its work with grape varieties such as Mourvèdre. In fact, it is one of the only wineries in the world capable of producing six vintages rated above 90 by Robert Parker in the same year, while maintaining prices that are very accessible to the general public.

The vineyards of Bodega Senorio de Barahonda cover some 545 hectares in the DO Yecla region, masterfully managed by the brilliant winemaker Araceli González, a pioneer in the Yecla region, whose winemaking techniques give rise to highly distinctive wines, characterized by a style that is at once modern, fresh, and lively, yet perfectly harmonized with a certain alluring classical touch. Great DO Yecla wines waiting to be discovered.
