Luigi Pira Estate
Luigi Pira is undoubtedly Piedmont's rising star, producing exceptional wines at very reasonable prices, a far cry from the exorbitant prices of some grands crus. Located in Serralunga d'Alba, in the heart of the Langhe and more specifically the Barolo region, the estate was founded in the 1950s by Luigi Pira. Now run by his son, the immense and discreet winemaker Gianpaolo Pira, the Luigi Pira estate has 10 hectares of vines and owns plots in the region's most renowned terroirs, such as Marenca, Margheria, and Vignarionda, and even shares some plots with his illustrious neighbor Angelo Gaja.

Luigi Pira's Barolos, produced using meticulous winemaking techniques and chemical-free cultivation methods, are powerful, structured, and complex wines. They reflect all the typical characteristics of each of these unique terroirs. The Dolcetto is impressively rich and concentrated. This is a winemaker to watch closely, whose wines are worth cellaring. They are treasures for the future, still accessible and will increase in value for those who know how to wait for them. The value for money of Luigi Pira's wines is absolutely fabulous, considering that these are immense wines.
