"A vibrant Brunello, full of life, rich and extremely smooth, according to the Wine Advocate, to enjoy or forget for ten years in your cellar.

"The Gianni Brunelli Le Chiuse di Sotto 2020 Brunello di Montalcino is balanced, finely textured and beautifully consistent on the palate. This vibrant Brunello is full of life. Red and purple fruits mingle with sweet earth and iris root. I particularly like the mouthfeel here. It's this combination of richness and extreme sweetness that sets it apart. [2025-2040" (Wine Advocate - Robert Parker 2024)

About the wine:

Due to high temperatures and dry conditions, Laura Brunelli reports that quantities were even lower than the estate's already modest average yields. For this reason, she decided to forego a Riserva in 2020 and use the best of the production for this bottling. This wine perfectly illustrates the floral character of the vintage, with aromas of lavender and plum blossom wafting from the glass. Exotic spices, cinchona and bitter orange add complexity to the palate, which reveals the heat of summer with seductive ripeness and generous structure. Finishes with talc-like tannins and pleasant tension. 2025-2034

About the wine:

Medium ruby. Nose of cardamom, morocco leather, iodine and mineral notes. Compact, youthful cherry aromas on the palate, with delicious, chewy tannins that take over on the aromatic, fruity finish. Great potential, 2025-2034

About the wine:

The Brunello di Montalcino 2020 seduces with a seductive bouquet of cherries and crushed strawberries, enhanced by notes of mint, cedar and saddle leather. It's a more graceful, elegant style, with medium-bodied textures and pure notes of wild berries on a wave of lively acidity. The 2020 echoes nuances of licorice and blue and violet flowers, while leaving a subtle layer of fine tannins that frame the experience very well. 2026-2036

About the wine:

This wine has a complex, balsamic profile. The nose exudes dried flowers, licorice, raspberries and redcurrants. Very crisp and juicy, with a full body and fleshy, chalky tannins due to its youth. Yet it is soft and balanced on the finish. It needs a little time to integrate better, but it's a gourmet wine with very good substance for the long term. Best after 2025.
