Created in the 1870s by Ferruccio Biondi-Santi, Brunello di Montalcino wine differs from traditional Italian wines. Indeed, young red wines were popular and sometimes sparkling. Ferruccio Biondi-Santi decided to age the wine in oak barrels, then refine it in bottle. The first official vintage dates back to 1888. Made from Sangiovese grosso grapes, Brunello di Montalcino gained in popularity at the end of the Second World War. With its ruby-red color, Italian Brunello di Montalcino can easily be found online. This brightly-colored wine, with its intense and varied flavors, charms with its power. As it ages, its color can take on a ruby sheen. On the palate, this red wine is dry, robust and warm. Le San Felice: Brunello di Montalcino Campogiovanni 2011: A wine with blackberry aromas

Made from Sangiovese grapes, this wine is produced under the Brunello di Montalcino appellation. This wine combines the strength of the terroir and the Mediterranean climate to achieve optimum ripening of the Sangiovese Grosso.

Maturation :

This wine is fermented in contact with skins for 25 days at a temperature of 30°C. Following fermentation, the wine is placed in French oak barrels for 20 days. Once bottled, Brunello di Montalcino Campogiovanni 2011 is aged for 36 months.

Features :

Intense ruby-red in color, this wine gives off aromas of dates, blackberries, cocoa and leather. Like many Brunello di Montalcino wines, it is warm and velvety.

Tasting notes:

This wine is best consumed at room temperature and will keep for over 15 years.

Le San Felice: Brunello di Montalcino 2015: A red wine with wild berry aromas

From a 65-hectare vineyard, this Sangiovese grape is grown on silty-sandy soil. Grown using integrated farming methods, this Tuscan wine showcases the estate's expertise.

Maturation :

The musts, macerated for around twenty days, are fermented in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then placed in Slavonian oak barrels for 36 months. After bottling, the wine is aged for 12 months.

Like other Brunello di Montalcino wines, Campogiovanni 2015 has a ruby-red color. Aromas of wild berries are revealed, along with hints of leather and tobacco. On the palate, this wine is smooth and reveals strong fruit notes.
