Tenuta di Lilliano
A former artistocrat family, the Ruspoli family has lived in Tuscany since the Renaissance. In 1958, Princess Elena Ruspoli Berlingieri began production of Tenuta di Lilliano Chianti Classico.
The Tenuta di Lilliano vineyard covers 40 hectares, mainly planted with Sangiovese - the king of Chianti grapes - and is divided into 3 vineyards: Le Piagge, Casina Sopra Strada and Vigna Catena.
Tenuta di Lilliano has 2 cellars: the winemaking cellar, built in 1978, and the ageing cellar beneath the villa, part of the historic Lilliano estate, where Chianti Classico Riserva and Gran Selezione are aged in barrels.
