Travignoli
Travignoli is located in the northeast of Chianti in Tuscany, 25 km east of Florence. This area, Chianti Rufina, enjoys southern exposure, limestone soils, and an altitude ranging from 250 to 400 m.
The Travignoli vineyard covers 70 hectares planted mainly with Sangiovese (a Tuscan grape variety) but also Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Chardonnay.
For Travignoli, tradition and innovation are the key elements in making great wines. Thus, it is in a 16th-century vaulted cellar that Chianti Rufina, IGT Toscana and Vin Santo del Chianti Rufina are produced.
Since 1800, Travignoli has been run by the Busi family, represented by Giovanni Busi. In 2011, the Busi family received the "Italia 150" award, recognizing Travignoli's success and longevity as one of the 150 oldest companies in Italy.
