Travignoli
Travignoli is located in the northeastern part of Chianti in Tuscany, 25 km east of Florence. This area, known as Chianti Rufina, features south-facing slopes, limestone soils, and an elevation ranging from 250 to 400 meters.
The Travignoli vineyard covers 70 hectares planted mainly with Sangiovese (a Tuscan grape variety) but also with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Chardonnay.
For Travignoli, tradition and innovation are the key elements in crafting great wines. Thus, it is in a 16th-century vaulted cellar that the Chianti Rufina, IGT Toscana, and Vin Santo del Chianti Rufina are produced.
Since 1800, Travignoli has been run by the Busi family, represented by Giovanni Busi. In 2011, the Busi family received the "Italia 150" award, recognizing Travignoli’s success and longevity as one of the 150 oldest companies in Italy.
