Petrolo
The Petrolo estate was acquired in the 1940s by the Bazzocchi family, who have continued the tradition of carefully crafting high-quality wines with total dedication. The unique characteristics of this region add to its value; the Petrolo countryside, where vineyards, olive groves, and forests coexist side by side, forms a rich ecosystem with the soil that helps perfectly balance the different grape varieties.

The Petrolo vineyard spans 31 hectares, 26 of which are under production. At an altitude ranging from 250 to 450 meters, the vines grow in moderately loose soil with rocky layers of limestone, sand, clay, and schist typical of Chianti. The soil composition, altitude, and exposure are among the key factors that contribute to wines with a distinct character.
