Petrolo
The Petrolo estate was acquired in the 1940s by the Bazzocchi family, who continued the tradition of carefully producing high-quality wines with total dedication. The unique characteristics of this region add to its value; the Petrolo area, where vineyards, olive groves, and forests coexist, live side by side, forming a rich ecosystem with the soil that contributes to the perfect balance of the different grape varieties.

The Petrolo vineyard covers 31 hectares, of which 26 are in production. At an altitude of between 250 and 450 meters, the vines grow on moderately loose soil with rocky layers of limestone, sand, clay, and schist typical of Chianti. The composition of the soil, its altitude, and its exposure are among the key elements that contribute to the distinctive character of the wines.
