Petrolo
The Petrolo estate was acquired in the 40s by the Bazzocchi family, who have followed the tradition of carefully producing high-quality wines with total commitment. The peculiarities of this region add to its value; the Petrolo country, where vineyards, olive groves and forests coexist, live side by side, forming with the soil a rich ecosystem that contributes to perfectly balancing the different grape varieties.

The Petrolo vineyard covers 31 ha, of which 26 ha are in production. With an altitude of between 250 and 450 meters, the vines grow on moderately loose soil with rocky stratifications of limestone, sand, argillite and schist typical of Chianti. Soil composition, altitude and exposure are key factors in producing wines of distinctive character.
