“The 2013 Santo Spirito is a rich and full-bodied expression of the volcanic slopes of Mount Etna. Santo Spirito extends partially into Passopisciaro, at the heart of Mount Etna’s finest wine-growing regions. This sublime wine displays a dark garnet color, with purple and ruby-tinged highlights. Crisp notes of wild berries, cranberry, red rose, and black stone characterize the texture on the palate. 2013 was a challenging vintage, with slow and uneven ripening of the grapes for many producers. Marco De Grazia, of course, carefully timed the harvest to ensure his grapes were picked at optimal ripeness. ” (Wine Advocate 2015 – Robert Parker)
