“Boccadigabbia is one of my favorite wineries in the Marche region. The 2009 Rosso Piceno is a solid wine for the price. Soft black fruit, tobacco flowers, licorice, and crushed stone meld together in the glass. This full-bodied Montepulciano/Sangiovese blend is a great wine that’s well worth the price. ” (Wine Advocate Feb. 2013 - Robert Parker)

I was very disappointed with this wine—it had little aroma and was very harsh on the palate. I’m keeping the last bottle to see if it improves in a year or two....I’m not impressed with the Italian wines featured on “A Glass of Wine,” whereas the Spanish wines are clearly better in terms of quality.
