Rating: Robert Parker 89/100
“Boccadigabbia is one of my favorite wineries in the Marche region. The 2009 Rosso Piceno is a solid wine for its price. Soft black fruit, tobacco flowers, licorice, and crushed stone blend together in the glass. This rich Montepulciano/Sangiovese blend is a great wine that’s well worth the price. ” (Wine Advocate Feb. 2013 – Robert Parker)

I was very disappointed by this wine—it didn't have much on the nose and was very harsh on the palate. I'm keeping the last bottle, just to see if it will be better in a year or two....I'm not thrilled with the Italian wines featured on "Un Jour, Un Vin," whereas the Spanish wines are clearly better in terms of quality-price ratio.
