This Valpolicella Classico is a red wine meant to be enjoyed young, when it is at its freshest and most fruity. King Theodoric considered it one of the best in Italy. The finest tribute to it was paid by Ernest Hemingway in one of his novels, where he speaks of it with great affection: “It is dry, red, and friendly, like a brother’s home.” What a compliment!
