Beyond its elegant and imposing bottle, this Red Blend Réserve impressed me with its charming suppleness, its fine, silky texture on the palate, and its tannins, which are beautifully integrated into ripe fruit, enhanced by a very subtle, refined oakiness. A gentle acidity brings freshness, boosting the body and energizing the lovely, slender finish. This unique Southern red is not just a wine to quench your thirst; it’s a wine with a fantastic price-quality ratio. It paired wonderfully with skewers of duck marinated in red pepper and braised on the BBQ. Rating = 4.1.
