Pennautier Castle
Located in the heart of the Cabardès AOP, Château de Pennautier has been the home of the Lorgeril family for 12 generations. Built in 1620 during the reign of Louis XIII, it is nicknamed the “Versailles of Languedoc,” embodying the elegance and art of living in Languedoc. A premier destination for wine tourism, it combines historical heritage, architectural refinement, and family tradition.

Château de Pennautier benefits from a unique high-altitude terroir, where Atlantic coolness meets Mediterranean warmth, offering an exceptional diversity of grape varieties. Located on the southern slopes of the Montagne Noire, at an altitude of between 230 and 260 meters, its vineyard produces organic wines of great elegance. Their unique aromatic profile blends Atlantic freshness with Mediterranean warmth, featuring notes of garrigue, spices, and red and black fruits, in a quest for harmony and respect for the terroir.
