"Light gold color. Nose of verbena, wild flowers, hints of anise, sweet spices, and white fruits. Intense, tangy youthfulness on the palate. The substance gradually asserts its character and supports the expressive finish. For spicy fish dishes." (Le Guide des Vins 2016 – Gilbert & Gaillard)

Wine rated (2017 guide) 14/20 (Good wine)

Rated estate (2017 guide) Selected (An estate or winery that impressed us with one or more of its wines, but where we are unable to give an overall opinion on the style of the entire range)

About wine:

In white, the 2015 Dame d'Argent is voluptuous, nicely fruity, and balanced by excellent liveliness.

About the estate:

Acquired by the Sichel family nearly 20 years ago, Château Trillol is beautifully situated in the foothills of the Pyrenees, at an altitude of 400 meters, close to Cucugnan. Forty hectares are planted with Syrah, Grenache, and Carignan, grape varieties that thrive in this beautiful terroir. The high altitude of the vineyard allows the wines to retain great aromatic complexity and lovely freshness.
