About the domain :
Nathalie and Benjamin Boyer, who had previously worked in Burgundy, Bergerac, Corsica, Bagnol-sur-Cèze and Châteauneuf-du-Pape, settled on this 15-hectare estate in the Fitou, Muscat-de-Rivesaltes and IGP Aude appellations in 2022.

On the nose, lots of blackcurrant, violets, blackcurrant flowers and bay leaves. Medium-bodied, with fine tannins. Crisp and fruity, with a succulent core of blueberries and fresh berries. Tasty finish. Grenache, Syrah and Carignan. Drink now.

Right from the start, Vent sets the tone: full-bodied, with a powerful tannic structure and a shimmering, intense expression of wild, warm berries. The palate is full, generous and warm to the point of being a little vinous, despite a hint of acidity that subtly balances the wine and adds a little freshness. The finish is consistent with graphite notes. The predominance of solid, well-coated tannins augurs well for ageing. Affordable, this Fitou with its strong personality seems compatible with terroir cuisine, such as spit-roasted leg of Lozère lamb or gamey dishes in sauce, rather than simple pasta dishes. Score = 4.

Diepe ruby kleur met paarse kern. Aan de neus rijp en zondoorstoofd rood en donker fruit, garrigue, wilde kruiden, aardsheid en de zwoele wind die deze aroma's voortstuwt. In de mond meteen veel sappig en crispy rood fruit, rode besjes, frambozen, aardbeien. Heerlijk rijp, zoet en frissappig. Gevolgd door kruidigheid en weer dat beetje aardsheid. Materie, zachte, fijnkorrelige tannine, mooi gestructureerd, prima balans en lengte. Een parel uit Fitou! Score: 16,5+/20
