About the estate:
After working in various wine-growing regions, including Burgundy, Bergerac, Corsica, Bagnol-sur-Cèze, and Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Nathalie and Benjamin Boyer settled in 2022 on this 15-hectare estate in the Fitou, Muscat de Rivesaltes, and IGP Aude appellations.

Right from the start, Le Vent sets the tone: lots of body, powerful tannins, and a vibrant, intense fruitiness with warm wild berries. The palate is full, generous, and warm, to the point that it is slightly vinous, despite a hint of acidity that subtly balances the wine and adds a touch of freshness. The finish is consistent with graphite notes. The predominance of solid, well-coated tannins bodes well for aging. Affordably priced, this Fitou with a strong personality seems compatible with regional cuisine, such as spit-roasted Lozère lamb or game dishes in sauce, rather than simple pasta dishes. Rating = 4.

Deep ruby color with a purple core. On the nose, ripe and sun-dried red and dark fruit, garrigue, wild herbs, earthiness, and the sultry wind that carries these aromas. On the palate, immediately juicy and crisp red fruit, red berries, raspberries, strawberries. Deliciously ripe, sweet, and fresh. Followed by spiciness and again that hint of earthiness. Substance, soft, fine-grained tannins, beautifully structured, excellent balance and length. A gem from Fitou! Score: 16.5+/20
