Domaine des Creisses
The Domaine des Creisses is a family-owned estate founded in the 19th century. Three generations succeeded one another there during the 20th century, and in 1998, Philippe Chesnelong carried on the family tradition with the goal of bringing out the full potential of the terroir and revealing a great Mediterranean wine.

The Domaine des Creisses comprises 15 hectares of vineyards, scrubland, woods, and truffle oaks. The vineyard is cultivated using sustainable pest management practices and is therefore treated as little as possible, but as much as necessary. We practice partial cover cropping and regularly add organic matter to maintain balanced, living, porous, and well-drained soils, allowing the vines to develop deep root systems and draw water from deep underground on a consistent basis.

The Domaine des Creisses produces two vintages: Les Creisses, produced on an 11-hectare plateau with deep, stony clay-limestone soil that yields dense, silky, and fresh wines; and Les Brunes, grown on a southeast-facing hillside (a former lava flow) planted with Mourvèdre on dark basalt soil, which gave this parcel its name.

The Wines of Domaine des Creisses

A favorite drink among French families, wine is always present at festive meals and cocktail parties. An essential accompaniment to delicious meals, it takes pride of place on the table. Domaine des Creisses is one of the leading wine producers, offering only the highest quality wines. A “great wine,” as they say, its wines are consistently ranked among the best.

The Domaine des Creisses in a Nutshell

Our goal remains the same: to bring out the terroir’s full potential in order to create the finest wine in the Mediterranean.

The production process is carefully designed to produce wine sustainably. As evidence of this, the vineyard is cultivated using protected and sustainable methods. Les Creisses wine is therefore produced from a vineyard where half the rows are covered with grass and organic matter is regularly added.

Wines from the Les Creisses vineyard—unique expertise dating back to the 19th century!

Les Creisses red wine is one of a kind, characterized by a beautiful aromatic brilliance. It’s a delight on the palate with its intense flavor, spicy notes, and licorice with lovely hints of vanilla. In other words, it’s a rich, indulgent red wine that can’t be found anywhere else. Well-balanced thanks to its carefully crafted blend, it is both powerful and refined. It’s easy to see why its reputation extends to every corner of France.

Les Creisses red wine has a deep bouquet, making it one of the most popular wines. It opens with aromas of red fruits, reminiscent of red currants and black currants. There’s nothing better than a full-bodied yet fresh and well-structured red wine to pair with festive meals. That’s why buying Les Creisses wine is a must. This wine, full of power and character, is exactly what you need.

For Domaine des Creisses, the motto remains simple: to create a flavorful wine that is both full-bodied and harmonious. And it seems that this is exactly what wine drinkers are looking for.
