Domaine des Creisses
The Creisses Estate is a family-owned estate founded in the 19th century. Three generations managed it throughout the 20th century, and in 1998 Philippe Chesnelong carried on the family tradition with the goal of bringing out the full potential of the terroir and producing a great Mediterranean wine.
The Creisses Estate comprises 15 hectares of vineyards, scrubland, woods, and truffle oaks. The vineyard is managed using sustainable practices and is therefore treated as little as possible, but as much as necessary. Half of the vineyard is left with grass cover, and organic matter is regularly added to ensure balanced, living, porous, and well-drained soils, allowing the vines to develop deep roots and draw water from deep underground on a consistent basis.
The Creisses Estate produces two wines: Les Creisses, produced on an 11-hectare plateau with deep, stony clay-limestone soil, yielding dense, silky, and fresh wines; and the Les Brunes cuvée, grown on a southeast-facing hillside (a former lava flow) planted with Mourvèdre on dark basalt soil, which gave this plot its name.

The Domaine des Creisses in a nutshell
Our goal remains the same: to bring out the terroir’s full potential in order to create the finest wine in the Mediterranean.
The production process is carefully designed to produce wine sustainably. As evidence of this, the vineyard is cultivated using protected and sustainable methods. Les Creisses wine is therefore produced from a vineyard where half the area is covered with grass and where organic matter is regularly added.
The wines from the Les Creisses vineyard: a unique tradition dating back to the 19th century!
Les Creisses red wine is one of a kind, characterized by a beautiful aromatic brilliance. It is a delight on the palate with its intense flavor, spicy notes, and licorice with lovely vanilla undertones. In other words, it is a rich, indulgent red wine that cannot be found anywhere else. Well-balanced thanks to its carefully crafted blend, it is both powerful and refined. It’s easy to see why its reputation has spread throughout France.
Les Creisses red wine has a deep bouquet, making it one of the most popular wines. It opens with aromas of red fruits, reminiscent of redcurrants and blackcurrants. There’s nothing better than a full-bodied yet fresh and well-structured red wine to accompany festive meals. For this reason, Les Creisses is the perfect choice. This wine, full of power and character, is exactly what you need.
For Domaine des Creisses, the motto is simple: to create a flavorful wine that is both full-bodied and harmonious. And it seems that this is exactly what wine lovers are looking for.
