Château La Négly - La Clape La Brise Marine 2024
16,5/20
Jancis Robinson
"A fresh, rich, and refined white wine with salty notes—we love it!"
"It's really, really delicious. Ripe white peach, so ripe that it's almost lush, bordering on mango. Ginger root, pink pepper, and almond blossom. Generous but well-proportioned, the acidity sculpts all this generosity. Fabulous tension on the finish. A delicious wine." (Jancis Robinson 2025).

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2025 guide) 2 stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more consistent and uniform than the previous one)
About the estate:
Château La Négly is one of the Languedoc region's leading wines. Located in La Clape, on clay-limestone soil, this large 50-hectare estate also manages a garage wine, Clos des Truffiers, in Saint-Pargoire. It is owned by the Paux-Rosset family. La Négly offers a wide range of wines, all of which share a unique mentholated freshness. We recommend them without reservation. L'Ancely, dedicated to Mourvèdre, is the link between this range and the ambitious cuvées, produced in limited quantities and sought after by wealthy foreign connoisseurs. The current success covers all three colors, which is not so common.
Guide Hachette des vins
Rated estate (2025 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)
About the estate:
On the southern slope of the Clape massif, summer sea breezes temper the strength of the sun and the tramontane wind. Jean Paux-Rosset settled here in 1996 and replanted the vineyard, which now covers 100 hectares. He runs it with his sons Bastien and Mario, assisted by Claude Gros, a renowned oenologist from Narbonne.
