"Simply perfect and already irresistible!"

"The nose is nicely led, aromatic and offers complexity, a floral side as well as spice. There are notes of violet, nutmeg and, more lightly, small wild black berries, combined with hints of crushed blueberry, strawberry, green pepper and a subtle hint of olive. The palate is fruity and balanced, with juiciness, smoothness, freshness, sparkle, minerality and a crystalline quality. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy blackberry and unctuous dark berries, combined with hints of crushed raspberry, pulpy cherry, blueberry and licorice stick, as well as fine saline, black olive and toasted notes. Good length. Attractive burst of ripe red fruit. The tannins are sapid and mellow." Vert de vin 2025

Wine rated (2025 guide) 92/100

About the wine:

A fairly traditional style, Saint-Chinian Mouleyres 2023 combines density and deliciousness. A blend of Syrah (60%), Mourvèdre (30%) and Grenache Noir (10%), aged for 14 months in 500-liter demi-muids, it offers aromas of black fruits, orange peel, arbutus, mocha and dark chocolate, with a touch of wood and toast due to aging. The bouquet is carried by fine but tight tannins, lovely freshness and a surprisingly juicy finish. Still young, it can easily be kept for a few more years, but it's best to decant it on opening to soften it and bring out all its charm. Drink between 2025 and 2032.
