Vert de Vin
“Simply perfect and already irresistible!”
"The nose is beautifully developed, aromatic, and complex, with floral and spicy notes. It features hints of violet and nutmeg, along with subtle notes of small wild black berries, crushed blueberries, a touch of strawberry, green pepper, and a subtle, almost olive-like note. The palate is fruity, balanced, and offers juiciness, smoothness, lovely freshness, vibrancy, minerality, and a crystalline quality. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy blackberry and creamy little black berries combined with hints of crushed raspberry, hints of pulpy cherry, blueberry, and licorice stick, as well as subtle hints of saltiness, black olive, and toast. Good length. Nice brightness on the fairly ripe red fruits. The tannins are savory and velvety.” Vert de vin 2025

About wine:
With a fairly traditional style, the 2023 Saint-Chinian Mouleyres combines richness and indulgence. A blend of Syrah (60%), Mourvèdre (30%), and Grenache Noir (10%), aged for 14 months in 500-liter demi-muids, it offers aromas of black fruit, notes of orange peel, arbutus, mocha, and dark chocolate, with a woody and toasty touch from the aging process. The bouquet is carried by fine yet firm tannins, lovely freshness, and a surprisingly juicy finish. Still young, it can easily be cellared for a few more years, but it is best to decant it upon opening to soften it and bring out its full charm. Best enjoyed between 2025 and 2032.
