"An atypical blend with a perfect balance between the greed and freshness of Cabernet Franc and the generosity of Grenache and Syrah.

"A highly original red that will please with its savory character and tension on the palate. It's a wonderful discovery that's a pleasure to medal. (Prix Plaisir Grand Or - Guide Bettane + Desseauve 2025)

Rated wine (guide 2025) Prix Plaisir (Grand Or) (Prix Plaisir)

Domaine rated (guide 2026) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, in line with what one has the right to expect from its appellation(s))

About the wine:

A highly original red that's sure to please with its savory character and mouth-filling tension. It's a wonderful discovery that's a pleasure to medal.

About the domain :

A committed winegrower, Philippe Porché has converted his 16 hectares in the clay-limestone sector of Parnay, on the hillside where rainfall rainfall is one of the lowest in the region. With each vintages, the domaine progresses: the reds range from supple on the palate (cuvée Le Page) to deeper, aristocratic tannins (Le Prince and Le Roy). The whites alternate between the slippery (La Jouvencelle) and the chiselled like Clos de la Thibaudière and its well-situated plot on the Brézé hillside. An ideal address for indulgence.

tasted this day with real pleasure.i'm not qualified to give a reasoned critical comment but i like wine and this one in particular. if I don't get a free bottle of wine with all this, I'm going to lose hope in disinterested criticism.
