Rated estate (2026 guide) 1*Star (A well-crafted, recommendable wine that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))

About the estate:

A dedicated winemaker, Philippe Porché has converted his 16 hectares in the clay-limestone terroir of Parnay—on a hillside where rainfall is among the lowest in the region—to organic farming. With each vintage, the estate continues to improve: the reds range from supple on the palate (the “Le Page” cuvée) to deeper, more refined tannins (Le Prince and Le Roy). The whites range from the silky-smooth La Jouvencelle to the finely crafted Clos de la Thibaudière, with its well-located vineyard plot on the Brézé hill. The perfect place to treat yourself.
