Domaine Pithon-Paillé
Domaine Pithon-Paillé was founded in early 2008 by Isabelle and Jo Pithon in partnership with Wendy and Joseph Paillé. Jo Pithon has been a winemaker for over 30 years, and Isabelle for 20 years. Joseph, Isabelle’s son, has been working in the vineyards since he was 13.
Domaine Pithon-Paillé cultivates 13 hectares of organically farmed vineyards, certified by Qualité France. The vineyards are located in Saint-Lambert du Lattay (Bonnes Blanches), Saint-Aubin de Luigné (La Fresnaye), Beaulieu sur Layon (Coteau des Treilles), Rochefort sur Loire (Quarts de Chaume), and Savennières. The wines are aged in barrels and wooden vats for 10 to 18 months, depending on the cuvée.
To round out its range, Domaine Pithon-Paillé also purchases grapes from partner winemakers who also practice organic farming. This requires a relationship of trust with the winemakers and a deep understanding of the Loire Valley. Domaine Pithon-Paillé is thus able to offer wines such as Anjou, Crémant de Loire, Chinon, Bourgueil, and Saumur-Champigny...
