Domaine des Deux Vallées

Nestled along the Angers coastline overlooking the Loire and Layon valleys, the new winery of the Deux Vallées Estate dominates. René Socheleau and his son Philippe have taken over and modernized the 44-hectare estate, which consists of a mosaic of predominantly schist-based soils. On this exceptional terroir, near the Layon—a tributary of the Loire that brings morning mists—the conditions conducive to the development of noble rot are ideal, allowing the Chenin to produce one of the finest sweet white wines.
