Domaine des Deux Vallées

Nestled on the Anjou ledge overlooking the Loire and Layon valleys, the new chai du Deux Vallées estate dominates. René Socheleau and his son Philippe have taken over and modernized the 44-hectare estate, made up of a mosaic of predominantly schist soils. On this exceptional terroir, and close to the Layon river, a tributary of the Loire with its early-morning mists, conditions are ripe for the development of noble rot, enabling Chenin to produce one of the finest sweet white wines.
