RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Rated estate (2026 guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking, and as such, all the estates listed here—even those without a star—represent, in our view, the pinnacle of French winemaking.)
About the estate:
We have been closely following Antoine Van Remoortere’s work since his debut in 2011. His progress at Menetou-Salon has been thoughtful and gradual: production has increased from 5,000 to 50,000 bottles, the seven hectares have been converted to organic farming, and aging periods have been extended to eight months today. From the very first vintages, the wines have candidly reflected the character of Menetou-Salon’s Kimmeridgian marl soils. The lineup is very distinct: a lively and precise Sauvignon Blanc, and a juicy, flavorful Pinot Noir (made with a portion of whole clusters and aged in one-third 400-liter barrels). We will soon be able to discover a new cuvée, Le Clos Fouchet, a Sauvignon planted on a terroir with a thin layer of clay, aged in amphorae, barrels, and concrete tanks.
