Van Remoortere Estate
The Van Remoortere estate, located in Morogues in the Cher department since 1989, comprises four hectares of vineyards within the Menetou-Salon appellation. Formerly run by Joseph Van Remoortere, it is now in the hands of his son Antoine. After returning home following various experiences (in South Africa and at Julien Zernott’s Domaine du Pas de l’Escalette), he took over the family estate in 2011, renaming Château de Maupas as Domaine Antoine Van Remoortere.

The Van Remoortere estate is situated on Kimmeridgian clay-limestone soil. This young winemaker is committed to organic farming, respecting both the soil and the environment. This terroir yields two unique grape varieties for the appellation: Pinot Noir and Sauvignon, grown on the Fourchet and Reigny hillsides belonging to the estate.
