Domaine Van Remoortere

The Van Remoortere estate, located in Morogues in the Cher department since 1989, has four hectares of vines in the Menetou-Salon appellation. Formerly run by Joseph Van Remoortere, it is now in the hands of his son Antoine. After returning home following various experiences (in South Africa and with Julien Zernott at Domaine du Pas de l'Escalette), he took over the family estate in 2011, renaming Château de Maupas Domaine Antoine Van Remoortere.

The Van Remoortere estate is located on Kimmeridgian clay-limestone soil. This young winemaker is moving towards organic farming, respecting the soil and the environment. This terroir offers two grape varieties unique to the appellation, Pinot Noir and Sauvignon, on the slopes of Fourchet and Reigny belonging to the estate.
