With a legacy spanning eight generations of winemakers, Tour Gallus has always been deeply rooted in the history of the Nantes wine region. In the late 1990s, the estate became a founding member of Cru Gorges—the first Cru in the Nantes wine region—already demonstrating its spirit of innovation and commitment to quality. Bolstered by the arrival of a new team and built on the solid foundation laid by the nine preceding generations, the estate intends to leave its bold mark on future vintages. Committed since 1983 to sustainable farming practices under the guidance of Damien Rineau, the ninth-generation winemaker, the estate is now certified organic. In keeping with this tradition, Thierry Denjean, the estate’s new owner, is infusing it with fresh energy while honoring the estate’s traditions and heritage. Benefiting from a healthy environment, La Tour Gallus, now more than ever, embodies the new guard with panache.
