Concours de Mâcon
"A dazzling success! An ideal Quarts de Chaume for your festive season "
"One year follows another for the Davy family, who have once again produced a very fine liquoreux. The nose reveals fine toasted notes, followed by candied white fruit and apricot. The palette is enriched by gourmet flavors of prune and honey, in an intense but perfectly balanced palate, very seductive, an ideal marriage of volume, finesse, freshness and generosity. Best served with noble fish or pan-fried scallops". (Le Guide Hachette 2026)

About the wine:

Best served with noble fish or pan-fried scallops.
About the domain :
This 28-hectare estate, run by the Davy family for five generations, is located on the Corniche angevine between the Loire and Layon valleys. The old wine storehouse is listed (17th c.) and the cellar is housed in a disused coal mine, where the ageing wines mature. A sure bet in Anjou viticulture, often in the spotlight for its sweet wines, coteaux-du-layon and quarts-de-chaume in particular.
