Domaine de La Roche Moreau
Domaine de La Roche Moreau covers 28 hectares and is run by the Davy family, winegrowers from father to son for five generations in St Aubin. Housed in a listed 17th-century mansion, André and his wife Nathalie passionately produce a fine range of wines.
An indisputable benchmark in Anjou viticulture, La Roche Moreau stands out for its sweet wines: Coteaux du Layon 1er Cru Chaume and Quart de Chaume. The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand, in several successive selections to obtain wines of great finesse. After vinification, the ageing wines are stored in an old coal mine dug into the rock, ensuring ideal temperature and hygrometry.
La Roche Moreau uses integrated viticulture, with natural weeding in full respect of the terroir, and obtained HVE certification in 2018.
