Domaine du Tremblay
Domaine du Tremblay is one of the estates owned by Chantal Wilk and Jean Tatin, both agricultural engineers. They established their estates twenty years ago during a period of restructuring and renewal for the Quincy AOC. Maroussia, their youngest daughter, aged 25, joined them in 2010.
Domaine du Tremblay, an old estate in Berry with records dating back to the Middle Ages as the fief of a squire of Duke Jean de Berry, has revived its winemaking tradition by cultivating nearly 9 hectares of vineyards located in both Brinay and Quincy. Old vines play a significant role, accounting for nearly half of the estate. The vineyard is managed using sustainable viticulture practices based on regular observation of the vines during the growing season. Thus, pest control is tailored to the risks and likely diseases associated with the year’s climate.
The wines of Domaine du Tremblay, located within the Quincy appellation, are vinified in Brinay at the château’s former farmhouse, the Cave Romane, which combines tradition and modernity. Well-equipped with high-performance machinery—including a pneumatic press, temperature-controlled fermentation tanks, and climate-controlled storage—it has been producing quality wines since 1994.
